The Bangkok Hospital in Phuket is a modern 200-bed facility
The Bangkok Hospital in Phuket has a number of specialist units including cardiology, dentistry and plastic surgery. There is also a centre for the treatment of divers with specialist equipment; an eye correction centre; a skin centre for non-surgical treatments; and health-check facilities including CT-scan, 4D ultrasound and full body MRI. The hospital was opened in 1995 for locals and tourists and today it provides world-class treatments. It is part of the Bangkok General Hospitals Group which has 15 hospitals around the country, including of course the capital. The hospital played a significant role during the post-tsunami period at the beginning of 2005 and it has been recognized by a number of visiting dignitaries including the Duke of York from the UK and the King & Queen of Sweden. As you will see from their
website,
the hospital is not just for when you are feeling ill. Important note. Always be sure you have adequate travel insurance and be aware some insurance companies exclude travel for medical treatment.
