Laguna Beach Resort Phuket: My Choice For Families
For me the highlight of the Laguna Beach Resort Phuket is the 4-acre Waterpark (for my son of course!) with its slide.

Here you can see my son and I struggling through the crowds in just one part of the pool! An empty swimming pool is one of the advantages of going in low season. Although the
Phuket weather
isn't at its best we were not complaining.
And here we are having a game of one-a-side water polo. By the way, that bald patch is a trick of the light.

This large swimming pool forms the focal point of some 20 acres of landscaped gardens. While my son and I were in the pool, my wife was in the gardens with her two new best friends! (see picture right)
Many of the hotel's rooms have views onto the lagoon and others have sea view. This hotel is probably the closest to the sea of them all on the Laguna Phuket development. The last time we stayed, we had a Lagoon Studio (with lagoon view, naturally) which at 54 sq metres is quite big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. In fact the Family Rooms can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 children (12 years and under). Children between 4 and 12 years old also receive a 50% discount on restaurant menus (excluding children’s menus) and children under 4 eat free. The hotel has a Kids Club for 4-12 year old which is split into two age groups: 4-7 and 8-12. Staff speak English and Thai. Japanese and Korean speakers can also be arranged. Just like all the hotels in Laguna Phuket, the best time to visit is January - March. During the low-season sea-bathing is potentially dangerous and thus if you are not in the pool you will be in the lagoon, where there is a wide range of facilities available. Although a deluxe hotel, the Laguna Beach Resort Phuket is quite informal and family-friendly.
