Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club - some of the best sea views on the island
Each of the 110 guest rooms at Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club have spacious private terraces which look out across the Andaman Sea. Set on a hillside overlooking Nai Harn Beach, the hotel was apparently a favourite of the late Sir Peter Ustinov. This is one of the longest established high-end hotels on the island. The hotel’s architect was ML Tridhosyuth Devakul (owner of
Mom Tri's Boathouse
and
Villa Royale
), a sailing enthusiast and hence its original name, The Yacht Club. Mom Tri was one of the initiators of The Phuket King's Cup Regatta which has been held every year since 1987. There is no beach directly in front of the hotel but a small path leads down to Nai Harn Beach. This area is relatively quiet and remote. For entertainment away from the hotel you would need to take taxis. I would say this hotel is for those who are looking for seclusion, peace and quiet. The accommodation is comfortable rather than sumptuous.
