Well you might not need a Phuket Map but it could certainly come in useful.

Phuket is not huge, not really. You could easily drive around it in a day – unless of course you get lost.
I have a great sense of direction and simply refuse to ask directions. Well I don’t have to, I have this natural instinct: probably gained from my ancestors. :o)

I have to say the road system on Phuket Island is excellent and the signposting is very good; which makes car hire an option.

It really isn’t very easy to get lost but yes it has been known for me to, how shall I say this, temporarily misplace my route.

The chances are you will not be driving yourself but if you visit Patong or Phuket Town a map might come in useful. You will find complimentary maps at various points around the island. They are usually sponsored by advertising so they are also useful to find tailors, restaurants etc.

For a serious man-size Phuket map I recommend Phuket, Thailand Street Map by Berndtson and Berndtson. These B & B maps have put me on the right road more than once! Incidentally they are not perfect but I have found them to be the most accurate.
